The story

Munna Gupta

Finance → Code → Engineering Leader

Started in finance — trading derivatives and managing HNI portfolios at Bombay Capital. Found myself more excited mentoring CS students than executing trades. Made the jump to software in 2011.

Self-taught Java, Python, Django, then went deep on Android. Joined Shaadi.com in 2014 as a senior developer and never left — because the scale of problems grew faster than I could solve them. Today leading mobile engineering across 140+ apps.

Current obsession is AI-augmented engineering — building systems where developers ship 10x faster without sacrificing quality. That is what the AI Lab is about.
